1928 18' Baby Gar - SOLD This is a beautiful original Gar Wood, Scripps 202. This is a 6' 10" beam boat built by the Miss America crew in Algonac. Some of the era boats were built in the 7' 2" beam but Gar Wood himself contended the thinner boat was a better riding boat. "RAMONA" is a 1928 28' Baby Gar. Originally purchased by the "Purple Gang" in Detroit as a "Rum Runner", spent her time running the Detroit River and Lk. St. Clair in her early days. Later spending many years at Harbor Springs, Michigan before moving back to Mt. Clements, Michigan and now has spent her last 10 years in the cold waters of Lake Superior roaming the Marquette and Keweenaw areas.
