1939 Gar Wood - Twin Cockpit Forward - "Osprey"
1939, 19' 6", twin cockpits forward of engine hatch, hull #6123. This is a beautiful boat in virtually perfect condition. It has a WEST system bottom from 1990 and an OMC 230 hp engine. Used mostly on the St. Lawrence River until 2002, when moved to the East River near Mobjack Bay, off of the southern Chesapeake. Same owner since 1983. Exceptionally well cared for. Housed indoors, fresh water flushing system, new marine wiring 2004. Can be enjoyed in fresh water or salt water. Bottom paint is antifouling paint of highest quality, Gar Wood green. Boat has been restored and cared for by Blue Heron Boat works in Alexandria Bay and Zimmerman Marine in Mathews, Virginia.
Comes with suitable tandem trailer. Currently has several coats of conventional varnish and new bottm paint as well as new gold leaf lettering for name, numbers and Gar Wood logo. 1937 Gar Wood 20' Custom Utility.

1937 Gar Wood 19' 6" Custom Runabout "721" Hull #6065
Boat was partially restored by Sierra Boat in Tahoe then shipped to Australia where a 283 Chevrolet motor was fitted and fully rebuilt. Motor has 8hrs. on it. Boat is in immaculate show condition with exceptional brightwork and all original chrome fittings. Upholstery is exceptional and new. Gauges were rebuilt in the U.S. by California Classic Boats (Al Schinnerer). Owner has added dual batteries, bilge blower and power takeoff for a spotlight. All wiring is new and in excellent shape. This boat has hardly been used since it was restored. This boat was used as the illustration for this model by Tony Mollica in his book. Boat is on a very good tandem trailer.
